Nordic Independent Music Scene included a series of concerts, performances, a seminar and an exhibition of graphic design and music releases. It presented Nordic independent music, labels and related cultural expressions such as graphic design, video and film projections by artists involved in the Nordic independent music scene. It took place in Dom Omladine in Belgrade in early October 2004.
15/10/2004 :: Nordic Independent Music Scene project was an opportunity for artists and managers from Nordic countries and Serbia and Montenegro to meet and exchange experiences. The seminar has given them a chance to learn more about independent labels, their distribution, the support they have in their countries, and the kind of support they are given by media.
The festival featured a number of performers from Nordic countries. "Elektrofant" was the band from Norway that took part in this small festival. "Elektrofant" are two ‘electro-madmen’ from Stavanger on the south-west coast of Norway. Klaus Skrudland and Knut Jonas are obsessed with old analogue equipment, making high-energy electro with a touch of humor and a melodic link to the 80's synth pop. Their first ever demo was the demo of the month on the Norwegian nation-wide radio channel.
Cultural Front from Belgrade has been implementing partner in this project in cooperation with Belgrade Youth Cultural Center. This project has been supported by Nordic Council of Ministers, embassies of Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway and Danish Rock Council.
