Innovasjon Norge/ Innovation Norway
As of January 2004 the new state owned company Innovation Norway took over the work of following four organizations: The Norwegian Trade Council, The Norwegian Tourist Board, The Norwegian Industrial and Regional development Fund-SND and The Government Consultative Office for Inventors-SVO.
Innovation Norway promotes nationwide industrial development profitable to both business economy and Norway's national economy and helps to release the potential of different districts and regions by contributing towards innovation, internationalization and promotion.
The new state company employs 700 people. Innovation Norway has offices in all Norwegian counties and in more than 30 countries world wide. The head office is situated in Oslo.
